Industrial Nonwovens for Infrastructure Applications

Our nonwoven geotextile fabrics are engineered to reinforce soil, prevent erosion, and improve drainage, resulting in more robust and durable foundations.

We also manufacture high-efficiency HVAC filtration media, essential for maintaining clean and healthy indoor air in commercial, institutional, and industrial spaces. Our filters support better indoor air quality while contributing to energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

At Noam Urim, we are committed to advancing infrastructure resilience through innovative industrial nonwovens for infrastructure applications. By delivering dependable solutions for soil reinforcement and air quality management, we help builders, engineers, and facility managers meet the evolving demands of sustainable development.

Nonwoven Geotextiles for Ground Engineering

As a leading geotextile fabric manufacturer, Noam Urim produces durable, needle-punch nonwovens designed for use in civil engineering, road construction, drainage systems, and erosion control. These geotextiles improve soil stability, enhance load distribution, and extend the life of infrastructure projects through superior filtration and separation performance.

Other Industrial Nonwovens for Infrastructure

Beyond geotextiles, Noam Urim develops specialized needle-punch nonwovens used in air filtration systems for infrastructure and industrial environments. These materials are designed to enhance indoor air quality, support energy-efficient ventilation, and meet the performance demands of commercial, institutional, and public facilities.

FAQ

What GSM do I need for a drainage application?

For subsurface drainage and French drains, lightweight to mid-range geotextiles (typically 100–200 g/m²) are usually sufficient, with the key specification being AOS matched to the surrounding soil grading and high permeability. For drainage applications combined with structural separation under heavier loads, mid- to heavyweight fabrics (200–400 g/m²) are typically specified. Project-specific recommendations are available on request.

What is the difference between separation and filtration geotextiles?

Separation geotextiles physically prevent two dissimilar soil layers from mixing — typically aggregate sub-base from softer subgrade. Filtration geotextiles allow water to pass while retaining soil fines, preventing migration into a drainage system. Most needle-punched nonwoven geotextiles perform both functions simultaneously, with the AOS specification determining the filtration characteristics.

Can you supply geotextile to project-specific specifications?

Yes. Beyond our standard product range, we develop custom geotextiles to project-specific specifications — including custom GSM, fiber composition, AOS engineered to soil conditions, tensile strength targets, and roll dimensions. Technical documentation supporting the custom specification is provided.

What are typical lead times for large infrastructure projects?

Lead times depend on specification, volume, and roll format. For standard specifications, we maintain inventory commitments suitable for contractor scheduling. For custom specifications and large-volume project supply, lead times are agreed at the contract stage. Contact our engineering team for current lead-time commitments in your region.

Do you provide technical documentation and test data?

Yes. Each geotextile supply is supported by a technical data sheet specifying the fabric properties (GSM, tensile strength, CBR puncture, AOS, permeability), along with conformity statements and test data as required by the supply contract.

What roll widths are available?

Standard roll widths are available across our product range, with custom widths developed for project-specific installation requirements. Roll widths and lengths are confirmed at the specification stage of each supply contract.
