What makes a nonwoven sponge different from a standard foam car wash sponge?

The needle-punched fiber structure holds a large amount of water while staying soft against the paint surface. This reduces friction and scratching compared to other fabrics. The cloth is infused with a formula, so the sponge lathers on contact with water rather than needing separate soap.

Do these private label car care products require a separate chemical fill?

No. The cleaning agents are infused into the nonwoven substrate during manufacturing rather than added as a liquid at the point of use. For a brand owner, that removes bottle filling, dosing components, and liquid logistics from the product build. The consumer only adds water.
