What is the difference between needle-punched and microfiber cleaning cloths?

Needle-punched nonwoven cloths are bonded mechanically, without chemical adhesives, and use a broader range of natural and synthetic fibers. They are typically more absorbent, more durable through wash cycles, and produce less microplastic shedding than synthetic microfiber. Microfiber cloths use ultra-fine polyester or polyamide filaments and rely on electrostatic attraction; they shed microplastics into wastewater systems with every wash. For brands and distributors moving toward sustainability-led product lines, needle-punched cloths are increasingly the preferred substrate.

Are your compostable cloths certified to a specific standard?

Our compostable cleaning cloths are manufactured from 100% natural, biodegradable fibers and are compatible with EN13432 industrial composting standards. Documentation is available for clients requiring compliance with retailer or regulatory sustainability claims.

Yes. Custom development is part of our standard service. You share the application, performance requirements, and target specification; we develop prototype cloths, validate against specification, and scale to production. Most custom developments include small-batch validation before scaled commitment.

What antibacterial technology do you use?

Our MicrobiFix® range uses copper fiber technology to prevent bacterial growth. The antibacterial action is built into the fabric itself, not applied as a topical treatment. This means the antibacterial efficacy does not wash out and remains active across the full life of the cloth.
