In the early days, Noam Urim produced filling material for blankets, coats, and other textile products. However, in 1987, the plant was completely destroyed by fire. Following the rebuilding of the facility, the company shifted its focus exclusively to the production of nonwoven fabrics, establishing itself among leading nonwoven textile manufacturers worldwide.
In 2005, 51% of the plant’s ownership was acquired by “Shalag” from Kibbutz Shamir, a global leader in Carded Thermo Bonded and Air Through Bonded nonwoven technologies, manufacturing a wide range of products in basis weights from as low as 9 gsm up to 140 gsm.
Today, Noam Urim stands as a global leader in producing a diverse range of needle-punched nonwoven fabrics, offering weights ranging from 80 to 1000 gsm.
